The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has recently announced its plans to carry out a mass disconnection of electricity users in the near future. This move comes as a response to the increasing number of customers with outstanding bills.

AEDC has issued a notice to all customers with pending payments, urging them to settle their accounts immediately to prevent any disruptions in their electricity service. According to the notice, customers who fail to clear their outstanding bills within the next 72 hours, specifically by Monday, June 3, 2024, will face disconnection of their electricity supply.

Emphasizing the importance of adhering to payment deadlines, AEDC highlights that timely payment is essential for ensuring efficient and reliable service. The company stresses that the infrastructure required for delivering uninterrupted service to the community heavily relies on the timely settlement of electricity bills. Therefore, it is crucial for customers to settle their outstanding bills promptly.

All electricity users who have pending payments are urged to take note of the deadline for payment, which is within 72 hours of this notice, specifically by Monday, June 3, 2024. To avoid any inconvenience or disconnection, customers should settle their outstanding bills promptly.

AEDC hopes that this mass disconnection will prompt customers to fulfill their payment obligations and contribute to the continued operation and enhancement of the company’s infrastructure. By ensuring a stable payment system, AEDC can continue to provide uninterrupted electricity services to the community.

This notice serves as a reminder to all electricity users to fulfill their payment obligations and prevent any disruption in their electricity supply. Failure to settle outstanding bills within the specified timeframe may result in disconnection.

Customers are advised to make their payments promptly and to contact AEDC for any inquiries or assistance regarding their outstanding bills. By doing so, they can ensure a reliable and uninterrupted supply of electricity.
