President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has lauded the Dangote Group for its significant contributions to Nigeria’s industrialization efforts, as the company took center stage at the ongoing 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair.

The President’s commendation came through Dr. Dafang I. Sule, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, who represented both the President and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

Dr. Sule expressed the government’s appreciation for Dangote’s “good job” in Nigeria, highlighting the company’s role as a key sponsor of the trade fair. This federal government accolade follows a wave of commendations from stakeholders across the globe.

The Permanent Secretary further revealed that the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment has been actively collaborating with the Dangote Group to implement government policies and programs, including the crucial Backward Integration Programme. He emphasized the high quality of Dangote products, citing it as the reason for widespread patronage and the company’s continuous growth. “The quality of Dangote products is not in doubt and that is why people patronize them. You can see that the company is growing every day. I think it is doing a very good job,” Dr. Sule stated.

The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) echoed the government’s praise, acknowledging its partnership with Dangote as a unique selling point and a major competitive advantage for the 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair.

Alhaji Usman Saulawa, Director General of KADCCIMA, described the Dangote Group as a conglomerate driving the Nigerian economy. He emphasized the company’s positive impact on the Kaduna State business community, as well as its substantial contributions to both the Nigerian and global economies.

This year’s fair, themed “Promoting Efficiency in Manufacturing, Trade, and Agriculture through Digital Transformation,” has attracted participants from at least five countries. Alhaji Saulawa highlighted the collaborative effort between the Kaduna State Government, the Dangote Group, and other participating companies, stating, “Our selling point is the joint collaboration and full involvement of Kaduna State Government, Dangote Group and other companies.”

The KADCCIMA Director General commended the symbiotic partnership between the chamber and the Dangote Group, acknowledging Aliko Dangote, the Group’s President, as a steadfast benefactor. He noted that through consistent sponsorship and participation of its Strategic Business Units, the Dangote Group has consistently supported economic development in Kaduna State.
