Senate Approves Oloworaran as DG PENCOM

The Senate has approved the appointment of Ms. Omolola Oloworaran as the Director General of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM).
This confirmation came after the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service presented its report during a plenary session at the National Assembly on Thursday in Abuja .
Earlier, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had submitted a request for the Senate’s confirmation of her appointment.
Ms. Omolola Oloworaran was appointed Director General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom) in July 2024, initially serving in an acting capacity pending Senate confirmation.
With over 20 years in the financial services sector, she has held significant roles at Citibank, Renaissance Capital, Stanbic IBTC, and First Bank, where she was Group Head of First Shared Services.
Ms. Oloworaran who is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI), Omolola is an accounting graduate from the University of Ilorin. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Manchester Business School.
