SEC to train FRSC officials on capital market opportunities
By Patience Ikpeme
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is partnering with the Fund Managers Association of Nigeria (FMAN) and the Association of Dealing Houses of Nigeria (ADHON) to hold an “Investor Safety” program for officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) across the country.
This is to increase awareness of the capital market and attract more investors to take advantage of investment opportunities present in the market.
The event aims to expose officers of FRSC to legitimate channels of investment, educate them on the roles and functions of the SEC, non-interest finance, the identification and avoidance of Ponzi schemes, and complaints management framework.
This is the third in a series of sensitization programs, with previous events taking place in Abuja and six formations across Adamawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kwara, and Bauchi states.
The upcoming programme is set to take place on July 5th, 2023, in Enugu, Lagos, Osun, Port-Harcourt, and Benin.
Through such enlightenment efforts, SEC hopes to develop the capital market and restore investors’ confidence.
