Jaiz Bank Donates N110mn to Flood Victims in Borno State

Jaiz Bank has stepped in to provide relief to the victims of the devastating floods that ravaged Maiduguri and surrounding areas in Borno State.
The bank donated N110 million to support those affected by the disaster.
The Board Chairman of Jaiz Bank, Alhaji Mohammed Mustapha Bintube, led a delegation to Maiduguri to present the donation to Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum. The donation consisted of N50 million in cash and N50 million in kind.
“We have witnessed the destruction caused by the floods and felt the pain of the affected communities,” Bintube said. “Our modest contribution of N100 million is a token of our support and solidarity.”
In addition to the official donation, Jaiz Bank staff members have also volunteered to contribute a portion of their September salaries to the relief efforts. This gesture demonstrates the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and its employees’ compassion for the victims of the flood.
Governor Zulum expressed his gratitude to Jaiz Bank for their generous support. He praised the bank for their empathy and solidarity with the people of Borno State during this difficult time.
The Jaiz Bank delegation also visited the palace of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba Al Amin El-Kanemi, and presented a donation of N10 million. This contribution further underscores the bank’s commitment to assisting the affected communities.
The flood disaster in Borno State has caused significant hardship and displacement. Jaiz Bank’s donation is a valuable contribution to the relief efforts and will help to provide much-needed support to the victims.
