The Dangote Group’s pavilion at the ongoing 2024 Kano International Trade Fair has become a hub of activity, drawing large crowds of customers eager to make inquiries and purchases as the year approaches its end.

Organized by the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA), the trade fair, themed “Non-Oil Export for Economic Prosperity,” aligns closely with the Dangote Group’s commitment to economic diversification. Running from November 23 to December 7, 2024, the event has seen Dangote’s pavilion serve as a vital point of engagement for distributors, retailers, and visitors seeking insights into the company’s diverse product offerings.

A statement from the Branding and Corporate Communications Department of the Dangote Group highlighted Nigeria’s potential in non-oil exports. It read:

“Nigeria is a powerhouse for non-oil export, but only if it taps into its numerous resources and potentials. At Dangote, we have demonstrated this with our huge investments in fertiliser, sugar, salt, and cement products spread across several African countries.”

Over the weekend, the Dangote pavilion witnessed significant activity, particularly from distributors and retailers who are stocking up their inventories ahead of the festive season to meet the expected rise in demand. The company encouraged participants to visit its pavilion to explore a range of products on display, including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt, and Dangote Fertiliser.

During his visit to the pavilion, Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru Abubakar praised the role of public-private partnerships in Nigeria’s economic development. He emphasized the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s recognition of the private sector as a critical driver of growth.

Badaru also reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability in the country. He urged Nigerians to maintain confidence in the security forces and continue supporting the government with prayers, noting that peace and stability are vital for sustained progress.

The President of KACCIMA, Alhaji Garba Imam, lauded the Dangote Group for its unwavering support and sponsorship of the annual event. He described the company as a consistent partner in promoting economic prosperity.

Echoing this sentiment, the Director General of KACCIMA, Alhaji Sabiu Umar Yola, noted:

“The relationship between KACCIMA and Dangote has been very supportive and a great partnership. This year’s theme aims to encourage Nigerians to explore other commodities for export instead of relying on crude oil.”

The Dangote Group’s presence at the trade fair underscores its commitment to economic diversification and its role as a leader in driving Nigeria’s non-oil export agenda. As the fair continues, the pavilion remains a focal point for fostering partnerships and promoting locally manufactured goods with global appeal.
