Dangote Packaging Limited Enhances Production with New Machinery

Dangote Packaging Limited (DPL) has commissioned state-of-the-art machinery to boost its production capacity and improve the quality of its polypropylene laminated sacks.

 

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the General Manager of DPL, Obajana Plant, Mr. Peter Dickson, described the development as a significant step forward for the company. He noted that the adoption of cutting-edge technology would open new possibilities and strengthen DPL’s position as a leading manufacturer in the sector.

 

Dickson further stated that the newly installed machines are high-speed, technologically advanced, and designed to enhance productivity and efficiency.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DPL, Mr. Sai Prakash, provided insights into the capabilities of the new equipment. He described them as state-of-the-art technology that represents a major milestone in DPL’s journey. According to him, the introduction of these machines will lead to improved production output and superior-quality cement bags from the Obajana Plant.

 

The Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement Plc, Mr. Arvind Pathak, expressed his satisfaction with the new installation. He acknowledged the evolution of cement bag production over the years and expressed confidence that the latest machinery would address existing challenges in quality and efficiency.

 

Also present at the event were Chief Manufacturing Officer, Dangote Cement Plc, Mr. Sunil Mahajan, and the Director of Operations, Nigeria, Dangote Cement Plc, Mr. Anandam Duraisamy. Both executives shared their optimism that the new machines would drive progress in both production quantity and quality.

 

The Plant Director of Obajana Dangote Cement Plc, Engr. Azad Nawabuddin, also expressed confidence in the benefits of the new technology. He affirmed that the equipment would significantly enhance the operations of both DPL and Dangote Cement Plc (DCP), while assuring continued support from DCP Obajana to ensure seamless integration and success.
