Aliyu Ahmed retires as Perm Sec Finance

There is a change in leadership within the Federal Ministry of Finance. Mr. Aliyu Ahmed, who served as the Permanent Secretary Finance, has retired from his position.
Before leaving, he acknowledged the achievements during his tenure were due to the cooperation and support of the ministry’s management staff.
He handed over his responsibilities to Mr. Okokon Ekanem Udo, who is now the new Permanent Secretary Finance.
Aliyu Ahmed praised his successor, describing him as competent and experienced, and predicted that he would continue to lead the ministry effectively.
Aliyu Ahmed expressed gratitude to the ministry’s management staff for their support during his time in office and thanked God for the opportunity to serve.
He had a long career in the Nigerian Civil Service, joining in 1993 and retiring at the age of sixty.
In response, Mr. Okokon Ekanem Udo praised Aliyu Ahmed’s contributions to the ministry and the public service, highlighting his qualities as an objective, determined, fearless, and unprejudiced individual worth emulating.
