The facility provides technical assistance to improve infrastructure in the country, including government capacity building in planning, financing, and operating infrastructure delivery.

The director of the infrastructure department of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning in Nigeria Samuel Nwozuzu noted that the UK-NIAF played a crucial role in increasing access to better quality infrastructure services in Nigeria.

Additionally, representatives from UK-NIAF recently visited the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning in Nigeria to discuss infrastructural financing and government plans.

The UK-NIAF was established by the UK Department for International Development.
