Tinubu promises to ease economic stress of Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu has promised that Nigerians will be carried along in his reform process so as to ease the pains of his reforms.

Minister of finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy (CME) Mr Wale Edun stated this in Abuja when he resumed duties as minister.

In his address to Directors of the Ministry upon his arrival from being inaugurated minister, Edun encouraged all staff of the ministry to deliver and perform as is expected of the ministry.

He was emphatic that the president will not abandon Nigerians suffering the pains of the his reforms.

Wale Edun assured Nigerians that the economic stress being faced at this time will soon be over.

Edun further noted that he is aware that expectations from Nigerians are high and he gave the assurance that “president Tinubu has taken key macro, monetary and fiscal measures that will change the economy”.

“It is our duty to minimize the pains that will come with the reforms, we have a job to do to ensure that Nigerians are not left behind” he told the Directors.

Edun expressed approval with the level of automation and digitization of activities in the ministry, and stated that the ministry should be able to deliver on the presidents expectations to Nigerians .

Edun further applauded the efforts of the past minister Zainab Ahmed, and promised to build on her achievements in order to take Nigeria to greater heights.

The permanent secretary, special Duties of the ministry Mr Udo Okokon Ekanem in an earlier address, assured the minister of total commitment and loyalty of every staff of the ministry .

He also assured the minister that the ministry’s staff are “innovative and receptive to change” and pledged a smooth sailing with the minister.
