The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has adopted a new Performance Management System (PMS) for its staff, which will replace the old annual performance evaluation report. The RMAFC’s management has chosen to embrace digital transformation to improve productivity and service delivery within the organization.
According to a statement from the Head of the Information and Public Relations Unit, Maryam Umar Yusuf, the RMAFC Chairman, Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, who was represented by Hon. Ismail Mohammed Agaka, the Federal Commissioner for Kwara State, stated that automation and digital tools would streamline processes and minimize errors.
He urged staff to adapt to the changes, giving a strong warning. “If you do not shake into the system, the system will likely shake you out,” he said. The chairman advised the staff to adjust their mindset and attitude to embrace the new changes planned for the coming months.
Also addressing participants at the training workshop, the Secretary to the Commission, Mr. Nwaeze Joseph Okechukwu, described RMAFC as one of the nation’s strategic institutions. He explained that the training would help officers experience digital transformation and develop new skills. He encouraged staff to “learn, unlearn, and relearn” while also maintaining good dressing and punctuality to promote a professional work environment.
In his goodwill message, Mr. Emmanuel Ohiro, a PMS consultant from Reliefline Nigeria Limited, commended the initiative. He said, “This workshop is a good idea, and I urge you to take it seriously as it will improve your service delivery.”
The training, which was organized by the Administration and Human Resources Department in collaboration with Reliefline Nigeria Limited, began on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, and is scheduled to run daily until Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
