There are over 30,000 skilled Nigerians working at Dangote Refinery.

The management of Dangote Refinery made this disclosure when refuting claims that the company hired 11,000 skilled workers from India while disregarding Nigerian and African youth.

Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer, refuted the report, stating that it was composed with malicious intent and did not accurately reflect the number of skilled Nigerians present on site.

The Dangote Refinery project he said demands the recruitment of a proficient workforce from all over the globe.

Chiejina disclosed that there were 6,400 Indian and 3,250 Chinese skilled workers at the peak of the construction of the Refinery complex, over 30,000 Nigerians were employed among the skilled workers.

He highlighted the technical prowess exhibited by Nigerians on the project and urged the public to focus on the positive impact of the project on the Nigerian economy and the well-being of its citizens.

Dangote Group he insisted has been at the forefront of employment generation in the country.
