The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has categorically denied issuing instructions to federal government employees regarding changes to their salary account financial institutions on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) platform.

In a statement released yesterday by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations, the OAGF stressed its commitment to the well-being of federal workers and assured that it would not issue any directives that could potentially mislead or cause undue anxiety among employees.

The OAGF clarified that any decision to change a salary account is a personal choice made by individual employees. The office further states that there has been no overarching directive from the IPPIS Office regarding such changes.

The OAGF urged financial institutions to implement strategies that foster trust and confidence among their customers, ensuring they fulfill their obligations to salary account holders and the general public.

The office acknowledged that specific agencies are tasked with evaluating the health and stability of financial institutions and expressed confidence in their ability to carry out these assessments effectively.

It also add d that employees who have valid reasons to modify their salary accounts on the IPPIS platform are advised to follow the established official procedures.
