NAICOM, FinTech Association to Partner on Digital Transformation in Insurance Sector

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and the FinTech Association of Nigeria have agreed to a new partnership aimed at driving digital transformation within the nation’s insurance sector.
The commitment was established during a meeting between the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, and the FinTech Association, led by its President, Segun Aina, in Abuja.
The meeting focused on exploring strategies to modernize and expand the insurance ecosystem through technological innovation. The FinTech Association expressed its readiness to support NAICOM in these efforts.
On its part, the insurance commission conveyed its commitment to rebuilding public trust through the use of transparent digital solutions and by protecting the interests of policyholders.
Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin convened the meeting at his office and spoke about the importance of digital adoption across the entire insurance industry. He also voiced his dedication to positioning the sector at the forefront of digital transformation.
During the discussion, the Commissioner stated, “Our focus is on ensuring that the Nigerian insurance sector is positioned at the forefront of digital transformation. This is a critical step towards rebuilding public trust and protecting policyholders through transparent, digital solutions.”
Both parties agreed on the need for continued engagement and collaboration to achieve the goals of the Commission under the new administration.
The meeting revealed a shared vision to revolutionize the insurance landscape through a combination of technological innovation, collaboration, and strategic partnerships.
