FG assures of better days ahead

Following the removal of fuel subsidy, the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has assured Nigerians that things are going to change for the better.
This assurance was given by the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun during his maiden meeting with staffs of the ministry, on Thursday in Abuja.
Wale Edun revealed that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda is an instrument for effective service delivery, and urged the staff of the ministry to join hands with him to deliver on the mandate reposed in him by the President.
In his speech, he stated that “things are going to change and be better, not only for Nigerians, but will make the ministry attain global competitiveness”.
Wale Edun applauded Nigerian workers for their resilience and professionalism, and he assured them that things will soon take shape to ease the hardship on ground.
“The president is a man of empathy, who acknowledges the sufferings of Nigerians even when Nigeria is rich in all sectors he will definitely change things around for good” he assured .
Wale Edun assured staff of the ministry that their welfare would be given top most consideration and, he also disclosed that plans were already in motion for provision of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to alleviate the sufferings on Nigerians as a result of the fuel subsidy removal.
He also expressed joy for being made the minister of finance in President Tinubu’s administration, declaring that “I am privileged to be the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister of the Economy and the Chairman Forum of African Ministers of Finance”
The Minister called for support from the members of staff to be able to carry out this task.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Okokon Udo appreciated the Minister for the maiden meeting and pledged support on behalf of the members of staff of the Ministry.
Also, the Joint Union Chairman, Comrade Mohammed Attahiru, while welcoming the Minister stated that, “the Minister has broken the Jinx by holding the interactive session” which was what the trade union has always yearned for.
