…Aliko Dangote Promises New Digital Investments
By Patience Ikpeme
The President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has made it clear that treating customers with respect is more than just being friendly; it is a smart way to run a successful company.
He made this statement during a special dinner and awards night organized by NASCON Allied Industries Plc, the makers of Dangote Salt, held in Abuja.
During the event, which was attended by top business leaders and partners, the company celebrated 50 of its most outstanding customers. Mr. Dangote explained that honoring those who buy and distribute their goods sends a powerful message to everyone working in the group.
He said that recognizing customers is not just good relationship management, but it is actually good business because it shows that serving the people is one of the company’s deepest values.
Looking toward the future, the famous industrialist shared his plans to keep puting money into making the company better. He mentioned that the group will continue to spend on making their brands stronger, making sure goods move faster from the factory to the market, and using modern digital tools.
However, he was quick to say that all these big investments only make sense if they match what the customers really need. He told the traders that their feedback is very important for the company to know how to grow.
The night was not just about the future, but also about thanking those who have made the company a leader in the market today. Mr. Dangote praised the board, the managers, and the staff of the salt company for their hard work and professional spirit. He said their dedication to doing things well has protected the company’s good name and helped it stay ahead of others for a long time.
Supporting this view, the Board Chairman of NASCON and Vice President of the Dangote Group, Olakunle Alake, spoke about how the stock market and investors look at the company. He explained that as a company listed on the stock exchange, they have to answer to many people.
Alake pointed out that the trust the public has in them really comes from how well their products perform in the market. He said that performance depends entirely on the customers who believe in the Dangote brands. Mr. Alake told the crowd that from where the board sits, serving the customer is a major tool for success.
He described the awards as a celebration of a journey taken together, saying that no person or company can reach the top by standing alone. It was a night to show that the success of the company is the same as the success of the people who sell the goods.
The event also saw the participation of the younger leaders in the Dangote family who are taking on big roles in the business. Fatima Aliko Dangote, who was recently made a Group Executive Director at the Dangote Refinery, thanked the customers for staying loyal for so many years.
She noted that their trust is the foundation upon which the company was built. She told the award winners that their success is tied directly to the company’s success, whether they are growing the volume of goods sold or moving into new markets.
In the same vein, Mariya Aliko Dangote, the new Group Executive Director for Commercial operations in the cement and food business, shared her early experiences in her new role. She said she has already learned one big truth: the company’s wins are built on the steady support of its customers. She mentioned that real success is found in the marketplace and comes from listening to the feedback given by those who use the products every day.
The Managing Director of the salt company, Aderemi Saka, added that the main goal of the evening was to show deep appreciation. He said the company believes that as their customers grow and become more prosperous, the company also grows along with them.
The highlights of the night were the actual prizes given to those who moved the most goods. Ali Balarabe, one of the top traders, spoke on behalf of all the winners. He was rewarded with a 20-tonnage truck and cash credit to help his business grow even more.
He thanked the leadership of the company for the honors and said the awards showed that the company truly cares about excellence. He promised to stay loyal and continue supporting the brand in the years to come.
Many other traders also went home with major prizes, including truckloads of salt and cash. Some of those recognized for their hard work included Alhaji Ibrahim Achida, Muabsa Integrated Services, Fanisau Enterprises, and Idris Saleh Nigeria Limited.
Other winners like Sani Adamu Trader and GIA Global Concept were also cheered for their commitment to keeping Dangote Salt a household name across Nigeria.
The event ended with a feeling of partnership, showing that the giant company and the local traders are walking the same path toward a bigger and better future.
