The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from ₦990 per litre to ₦970 per litre for marketers.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina.

In the statement, Chiejina described the move as a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their support in making the refinery project a reality. “As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the Refinery a dream come true.

In addition, this is to thank the government for their support, as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being,” he stated.

Chiejina assured Nigerians of the refinery’s commitment to delivering high-quality petroleum products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. He stated that the refinery would maintain rigorous standards, ensuring that quality is never compromised.

“We are determined to keep ramping up production to meet and surpass our domestic fuel consumption, thus dispelling any fear of a shortfall in supply,” he added.

This development is expected to provide some relief to marketers and consumers and underscores the refinery’s role in stabilizing the domestic petroleum market.
