Dangote Cement Plc is a proud sponsor of the 19th Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), which commenced today at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The cement giant is not only providing financial backing but also actively participating in the event, which is set to host attendees from 21 countries.
A statement released by the company, signed by its spokesman, Anthony Chiejina, conveyed that the AIHS provides a unique platform for Dangote Cement to connect with leading figures in the housing industry across Africa.
Mr. Chiejina noted that, “As the Housing Show brings together over 40,000 participants, including key industry leaders, government representatives and investors, the Dangote Cement Plc will leverage on this opportunity to directly showcase its innovative products to clients and decision makers.”
The company has consistently supported the AIHS over the years, and it committed to continuing its partnership with key stakeholders to support the provision of shelter across Africa. According to the statement, the AIHS will also serve to amplify the Dangote brand and foster strategic collaborations with various stakeholders.
The theme of this year’s show, “Reimagining Housing Through Innovation,” aligns well with the company’s core values, which include operational excellence and a commitment to providing high-quality products.
Barrister Festus Adebayo, Coordinator of the AIHS, informed newsmen that the significant housing deficit currently facing the country can be alleviated through Public Private Partnerships (PPP). “Innovation and collaboration are top priorities for us, given the rapid technological advancements in housing construction, financing and system improvements,” he said. Barrister Adebayo expressed optimism that the partnership with Dangote Cement Plc will contribute significantly to addressing the housing shortfall in the country.
He also noted that over 82% of attendees at the show hold decision-making positions, ensuring that exhibitors engage directly with individuals who possess purchasing power.
It is worth recalling that the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) and other stakeholders in the housing industry have previously described Dangote Cement Plc as a major force driving real estate development in Nigeria.
