High-throughput Satellite or HTS is a communication satellite that provides more throughput than conventional communication satellites (Fixed Satellite Service).

Higher-throughput refers to a significant increase in capacity when using the same amount of orbital spectrum

Avanti has already connected more than 1,000 schools and villages across the continent, and plans to add another 10,000 sites over the next five years.

This commitment to connecting communities has earned Avanti Communications the recognition of the top High-Throughput Satellite (HTS) capacity partner in sub-Saharan Africa.

The 20th edition of the NSR Satellite Capacity Supply & Demand Analysis reports that Avanti now boasts more than double the market share of its closest competitor.

The Sub-Saharan market share of leased GEO-HTS capacity for 2022 shows Avanti Communications with (33.1%); Eutelsat (15.3%) ;; YahSat (13.0%); Intelsat (12.9%); ArabSat (9.2%); Inmarsat (8.4%); Spacecom (6.2%) and Others (2%).

NSR’s annual report is a respected and in-depth resource that offers insights into key market developments and dynamics in the satellite industry.
