AGF, Customs agree to collaborate to boost revenue

The Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Dr. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Madein has expressed her willingness to collaborate with the Nigeria Customs Service in order to boost revenue for the Federal Government of Nigeria.
This commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, to her office in Abuja yesterday.
A statement from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) highlighted that Dr. Mrs. Madein is ready to cooperate with all revenue-generating agencies in order to meet the government’s revenue targets and promote economic development.
She acknowledged the Nigeria Customs Service as a vital organization relied upon by the government for its survival, at the same time emphasizing the positive role it plays in generating revenue for the country’s economy.
The Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, stated that his visit to the Treasury House was aimed at seeking increased support and establishing a strong working relationship with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
