Dangote Industries Limited has received widespread praise for its sponsorship of the 45th edition of the Kano International Trade Fair, which officially commenced over the weekend.

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, and the President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA), Alhaji Garba Imam, lauded the Dangote Group’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic development.

During his visit to the Dangote pavilion at the trade fair, Minister Badaru emphasized the critical role of the private sector in national growth. He remarked that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration is committed to fostering public-private partnerships as a cornerstone of economic progress. He also reiterated the Federal Government’s resolve to restore peace and stability in the country, urging Nigerians to continue supporting the government and security forces.

Alhaji Garba Imam commended Dangote Industries for its consistency in sponsoring the annual event, describing the company as a vital partner in driving economic diversification. Similarly, KACCIMA’s Director General, Alhaji Sabiu Umar Yola, hailed the long-standing relationship between the chamber and Dangote Group, emphasizing that the partnership has been instrumental in the trade fair’s success.

Speaking to newsmen, Alhaji Yola highlighted the importance of this year’s theme, “Non-Oil Export for Economic Prosperity,” in encouraging Nigerians to focus on exporting commodities beyond crude oil.

A statement from Dangote’s Branding and Corporate Communications Department noted that the trade fair aligns with the company’s vision of economic diversification. The event, organized by KACCIMA, runs from November 23 to December 7, 2024.

The statement read: “Nigeria is a powerhouse for non-oil export if it taps into its numerous resources and potentials. At Dangote, we have demonstrated our non-oil export potentials through our huge investments in sugar, salt, and cement products spread across several African countries.”

The company urged attendees to visit its pavilion and explore the various products on display, including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt, and Dangote Fertiliser.

As visitors continue to engage with the Dangote pavilion, the company’s active participation reinforces its commitment to supporting economic growth and promoting Nigeria’s non-oil export potential.
