Nigerians can now access locally-produced laptops and tablets following a collaborative effort between the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) and Imose Technologies Ltd.

This initiative marks a significant step towards Nigeria’s digital transformation and economic revitalization.

The NASENI-branded devices include the Zedon X-Pro laptop, boasting a 14-inch screen and a Core i5 processor. This blend of power and portability makes it suitable for students, professionals, and anyone seeking a reliable on-the-go computing solution.

Additionally, a 10.5-inch tablet caters to users who prioritize portability while maintaining functionality for tasks like document editing, drawing, and entertainment.

This partnership aligns with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” which emphasizes local content development and collaboration between economic players.

NASENI’s mission of driving indigenous industrialization, local content creation, and job creation has found a perfect partner in Imose Technologies, a company known for its commitment to domestic tech manufacturing.

Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, highlighted the strategic nature of this collaboration.

He noted that NASENI’s “3Cs” principles– Collaboration, Creation, and Commercialization – and stated that the partnership with Imose Technologies aims to bridge the technological gap and reduce reliance on imported devices. He envisions NASENI as a key player in Nigeria’s technological revolution, creating a national brand that places NASENI products in every Nigerian household.

Osayi Izedonmwen, Chairman of Imose Technologies, stated the company’s ten-year focus on solving local problems through domestic production of mobile and computing devices.

This partnership, he believes, will bridge the digital divide and improve access to technology for education and work across Nigeria.

The shared values of innovation and national pride held by NASENI and Imose Technologies bode well for the success of this initiative. Government bodies, public institutions, private organizations, and individual consumers can place orders for NASENI laptops by contacting sales@naseni.gov.ng.

The rollout of these locally-produced devices represents a significant milestone for Nigeria’s technology sector. By promoting domestic production and increasing access to technology, NASENI and Imose Technologies are paving the way for a more digitally inclusive and economically vibrant Nigeria.
