The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has initiated an investigation into two viral videos that depict interactions between customs officers and clearing agents at the Tincan Island Port Area Command.

The first video shows a customs officer being subjected to hostile behavior from clearing agents, while the second video portrays a more positive interaction. The NCS has assigned its Customs Police Unit to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding both incidents and gather statements from relevant parties.

The service pledged its commitment to upholding the principles of transparency and accountability outlined in the NCS Act 2023, vowing that any individual found to be in violation of NCS regulations will face appropriate legal action.
