Ododo to commence re- building of burnt GSM village

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has pledged the Kogi State Government’s unwavering support to the victims of the recent fire disaster that ravaged the Lokoja GSM village.
The governor made this promise during an on-the-spot assessment of the damage caused by the fire.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Mallam Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo expressed deep sympathy for the affected traders and residents. He described the extent of the damage as “worrisome” and assured that the government would provide the necessary support to help them recover from the setback.
The GSM village, a bustling commercial hub in Lokoja, has been a significant source of livelihood for numerous youths and women in the state. Governor Ododo acknowledged its positive impact on the state’s economy and emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring its restoration.
The governor announced immediate relief measures for the affected traders and assured them that plans for rebuilding and recovery would commence promptly.
He also commended the resilience of the community, noting that their determination to bounce back stronger had been reinforced by his visit.
Residents and traders in the area expressed gratitude to the governor for his solidarity and support during this difficult time. They expressed optimism about the future and their ability to rebuild the GSM village.
