NASENI Unveils Four New Tech Products

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), had unveiled a suite of cutting-edge products poised to revolutionize Nigeria’s technological landscape.
The unveiling, saw the introduction of several innovative creations including the NASENI Laptop, NASENI Android smartphone, NASENI Lithium battery, and NASENI 300watts LED Solar Street Lamp.
Mr. Khalil Suleiman, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of NASENI, in fulfilling his commitment to bring NASENI products to the market, showcased these advancements during a media briefing, shedding light on the agency’s endeavours and accomplishments in line with the NASENI Strategic Launchpad.
During the briefing, Mr. Suleiman revealed that some of the products have already made their way into the market, while others have been pre-booked for release throughout the remainder of the year. He reiterated the agency’s dedication to meeting the demand for Nigerian-branded products, emphasizing the importance of showcasing indigenous technological solutions on a global scale.
Highlighting NASENI’s role as the sole purpose-built agency of the Federal Government focused on domesticating both capital and consumer technology goods, Mr. Suleiman emphasized the agency’s fast-track approach under his leadership. He stressed the significance of technology transfer and commercialization of research and development (R&D) products, citing job creation, wealth generation, and reduction of import bills as key objectives.
Central to NASENI’s strategy are the principles of Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialization (3Cs), which entail partnering with both public and private sectors to ensure the seamless transition of research findings into market-ready products. Mr. Suleiman underscored the agency’s commitment to sustainability and competitiveness, urging investors to support Nigeria’s industrialization efforts by collaborating with NASENI.
Among the achievements and ongoing initiatives highlighted during the briefing were the development of various platforms such as the NASENI Proposal Evaluation Portal, NASENI Growth Hacker, NASENI ERP, NASENI eProcurement, NASENI StemBox, and NASENI Innovation Hub. Additionally, projects like the Product Instant Commercialization through Technology Transfer (PICTT), including Delta2 and DeltHer, were showcased as testament to NASENI’s relentless pursuit of technological advancement and socioeconomic development.
As NASENI continues to spearhead Nigeria’s journey towards technological self-sufficiency, the unveiling of these groundbreaking products marks a significant milestone in the nation’s quest for innovation and industrialization.
