Bello Hassan of NDIC is IADI-ARC Vice Chairman

The Managing Director of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) Bello Hassan, has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the International Association of Deposit Insurers African Regional Committee (IADI-ARC).
This appointment was made at the IADI-ARC Annual General Meeting held in Dakar, Senegal.
Bello was elected into the executive membership of the IADI Executive Council during the organization’s Annual General Meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October last year. The IADI EXCO is responsible for governing the association and ensuring its smooth functioning.
The IADI-ARC leadership expressed their recognition of Bello’s outstanding contributions, commitment, and leadership role in deepening deposit insurance practice in Africa and globally.
This recognition led to his appointment as the Vice Chairman of IADI-ARC by the General Assembly.
The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) is a global standard-setting body for deposit insurance systems.
It acts as a forum for knowledge sharing and experiences through conferences, workshops, and other capacity building programs.
The IADI also conducts research and provides guidance on matters related to deposit insurance for its members.
To achieve its objectives, the IADI develops core principles, standards, and guidelines to enhance the effectiveness of deposit insurance systems in different jurisdictions.
